This place is a joke....where are the people that care about people. my mother was sent to the place for Physical therapy from Midland Memorial Hospital because she needed to be on constant therapy. she arrived on Friday and today is Sunday and has not had one day of therapy. Do not send your loved one to this place, the phone rings without end. They care about the census!!! I was told that if I wanted people to care about my mother, I need to constantly be coming around. Doesn't that defeat the purpose? If I can constantly be around, I would have taken care of her myself and not be depending on the lies of an establishment that promises to be attentive to her care. I am certain that medicare will receive a bill stating that she received PT 5/5, meals, and stay. She is not receiving the care that was promised. MMH referred her to this place and are aware of the horrible situation she is in. Ashton is aware and have promised that physical therapy would be made available to her 1/26/2025. A total knee replacement requires and deems the consistency of physical therapy it is detrimental the recouperation of the limb to regain the successful full range of motion. If your loved one is a full-time resident at Ashton Medical lodge their care is compromised unless you are there daily to make sure that they are being cared for. I am sure that as soon as you leave things go right back to "their normal". People pretending to do what is right, people who practice the bare minimum. Remember in life you will get what you have given, one day you will be old and will require the care of someone and don't be shocked when you are left without any one to care for you.
My mom was there a few months. I have long-term care experience, and they took very good care of her. She had a feeding tube and foley and some extensive emotional outbursts. They were always patient and trying to find some way to help her feel better. She was clean, well-dressed, and room neat during her short stay. She never had any problems with her skin even though she rarely got out of bed. They checked this regularly and turned her. When she passed, they lined the hall as I was leaving and thanked me for letting them take care of her. It's a little pricey but worth every penny! I am at peace that she was in the best place possible during her last season of life.
So very thankful have a facility like Ashton Lodge in Midland, Texas. Have worked & been in many nursing facilities all over the USA. Ashton Lodge has a very hard working team that is always teaching & training all to give their best be it medical, cleanliness, dietary, Physical Therapy, etc. Have noticed a constant improvement in many areas & know they are doing all can to make the facility a safe & comfortable environment for all who enter be it long or short term. Alot nicer than several have been at in the area. Even visitors feel a warm welcome when there.

Carley found a clean, well-maintained environment with strong rehabilitation services and dedicated staff, though staffing consistency and therapy scheduling were occasional concerns for families.
