AVIR AT MEADOW CREEK

WARNING‼️‼️‼️DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY ESPECIALLY if your LOVED ONES ARE THERE TO RECOVER FROM SURGERY! Dad recently underwent brain surgery and Shannon Medical recommended he be in a skilled nursing facility to finish the remainder of his treatment and therapy. Out of 7 nursing facilities we decided to with Meadow Creek as this was the best option for my dad as his medical insurance would cover everything while being there. My dad has been there for about 2 weeks and has gotten worse!!!! This place was supposed to take GOOD CARE OF MY DAD AND THEY FAILED TO DO SO!! My dad should have been getting better especially if he has a central line to administer antibiotics. Well now, I’m starting to think that the NIGHT MEDICAL STAFF is the one not taking care of my dad as my dad stated that a woman by the name of Norma was making fun of the way he is mumbling. She mocked him! Which is not very ethical of someone with "medical background". She also got upset with dad for wearing a sweater. Is my dad not allowed to wear a sweater!!! The fact that she is doing this to him and possibly other residents is beyond humiliating. My dad is fully aware and is not there by choice. Like I said, he’s there to recover from brain surgery not to live there. If NORMA is capable of mistreating a recovering patient, I could only imagine how she treats the residents from this facility.

This facility has been nothing but the upmost best for one of my loved ones while being there. The staff is always so kind when I am in the facility and they are always so eager to help without hesitation. The aides do an amazing job at making sure my loved one has everything that they need and feel cared for on a personal level. The nurses do such a great job at giving medication and catching any potential health problems with assessments. My loved one raves about the food and how everyone there makes him feel so welcomed and like he is at home. It gives me comfort to know that he is surrounded by people who truly do care and do this job because they genuinely want to help others. I really do recommend Meadow Creek if you have someone in need of their services.

My dad went here for rehab after back surgery and we were very well pleased. The staff was very friendly and focused on dad’s recovery, most especially the therapy team. Kudos as well to Willie, the chef, as dad always bragged on the food. Special thanks to Bekha for providing a tour and getting us ready for dad’s admission. If we ever should need services in the future Meadowcreek will be our first call. Thank you to the entire team for the exceptional care!!
