I will never ever take anyone to stay at this facility. On the 2nd day, my husband had diarrhea and laid in it for 2 hours. Finally when he was cleaned up (basic wipe down, no shower), they left his soiled linen at the foot of his bed for over 3 hours until I said something. He also became very ill off very undercooked chicken on his last night there. They come off very caring and concerned during business hours. But after hours, they could care less. Nursing staff (CNAs) hung out in the break room most of time each night I was there. Also after hours, the facility smells of strong urine and fecal material. Finally, he was admitted to the facility on Thursday and was not given a shower until the following Tues, even after having several bouts of diarrhea. They may appear as having it together during posted business hours. But trust me it is horrible after hours. He was suppose to stay 40 days. But after the staff’s lack of responsibility, he was out in 6 days. Bastrop Lost Pines ought to be ashamed and investigated immediately.
We are so pleased with our experiences with Bastrop Lost Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation. Their diligence and care is certainly improving and even saving the life of a dear family member. There are so many challenges facing nursing homes, and they can be difficult places to visit, but every interaction we have had with management, nursing, support staff, and physical therapy has been exceptional here. Thank you so much for helping us throughout this transition. We are truly grateful for the care you are providing and can see hope returning to our loved one receiving it.
My Mother is a resident at Bastrop Lost Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She moved in last year. The staff there has been wonderful! This was a very difficult time for us and the care and attention Mom has received has improved her health and mental state. Amber in admissions has been exceptional to work with as has Renee the business manager. I am so grateful for all they have done as well as everyone else at the facility. I had a job several years ago where I was in many nursing homes in North Texas (like over 70) and based on what I saw in all those facilities, Lost Pines is more than fully staffed. I was very impressed with the ratio of caregivers to patients. The facility is very clean, warm and safe environment for loved ones. Again I am so grateful for the care my Mother has received there. If you are considering Lost Pines for a loved one know that they will be in very good hands. Martyn Hafley
Quality Score
Carley found a beautifully maintained facility with strong rehab outcomes and attentive staff, though families raised serious concerns about inconsistent communication and occasional gaps in basic care responsiveness.
