Run!!!!! They are awful you’re love one will not be treated with compassion. Both my parents were there. We decided to put a camera in the room to make sure they were taken care of, my dad would go over 4 hours before he was changed we would have to call. They’re were days when he went 5 days without a shower. He suffered from dementia. He fell various times and the last one suffered a fractured hip. They picked him up and put him in recliner where he sat all day. And when they changed him dragged him to the bath room to change him. And back to the recliner. Until my sister got off work and saw that he was in pain, she informed them and did nothing until later that night. Then the xrays were ordered. The next day again back to the recliner and until the results came in. This was on Thursday, Friday he was on hospice and was given until the weekend. He passed on the following Friday. I frequently talked to the administrator as he was on my phone contacts, About my concerns not only for my parents but the other residents that didn’t have visitors do they sit in they’re soiled diapers the answer to that question yes they do. They’re turnover in employees there is here today gone tomorrow. They eat breakfast at 9 lunch could be anywhere from 1 to 2:30 dinner 6 or 7 my parents would be asleep by the time they got dinner. And the food not very nutritious beans every day. They do have one or two nurses that were good. If you decide to leave your loved one there get a camera or visit daily. Be involved and good luck!

I am writing this review to warn other families, because trusting this nursing home with my mother was something I deeply regret. My mother required a great deal of hands-on care, and she simply did not receive the care she needed. Watching someone you love be neglected when they are completely dependent on others is heartbreaking. Staff were often unprofessional and dismissive, and when we raised concerns, they were not taken seriously. There was a painful lack of communication with our family—we were left in the dark, questions went unanswered, and important information was not shared with us. It felt like we constantly had to fight just to get basic care and attention for my mother. What we experienced went beyond occasional mistakes. The care was inadequate, and the repeated issues felt like neglect. If your loved one requires a lot of help, close monitoring, or compassionate, attentive care, please do not trust this facility. Families place their loved ones in nursing homes expecting dignity, safety, and transparency, and that trust was not honored here. I strongly urge others to consider different options.

The staff at Big Spring Center for Skilled Care are very kind and compassionate about their patients. I feel I have made the right choice in my dad's care by placing him here. The staff listens to all my concerns and answers all my questions. They are very helpful and are able to meet all of my dad's needs. The facility is spacious and very clean too.
