CARADAY OF LAMPASAS

I am not a resident, nor do I have relatives who work or reside here. However, my husband and I visit a variety of nursing homes on a pretty regular basis (4-5 times a year) either in connection to our business or to drop off donations (magazines, etc). As a result we see many different nursing homes. Caraday of Lampasas ALWAYS stand out because the employees and residents seem so happy! Everyone is smiling, employees actually say “hi” and have eye contact. They thank us for stopping by. Residents are talkative. We’ve seen them dancing to live music, playing games. The facility is clean and does not smell. We do NOT see this at other local facilities. Caraday of Lampasas really stands out!

Came to visit family in Lampasas a few weeks ago and got to spend some time with my uncle who resides here at Caraday of Lampasas. We had a wonderful hot lunch in the dining room while watching old westerns. The kitchen manager lady walked the dining room making sure everyone was happy.The aides were amazing, I'm happy. Feels good knowing he's in good hands.

I would like to see better patio furniture, on the back patio, and in the front of the building. The flower bends that they have out front are very beautiful with the assistant of the residents and staff. Rooms could be kept cleaner, with some more sanitizer and deodorizing. After changing some of the patients depends, they need to be dispose of properly. Maybe some gardening in the back yard would be nice. Over all the activities for the residents are very nice inside the facility and on the outings. My questions and concerns, are always answer in a timely manor along with phone calls. My wife has been there since March of 2023 as a private pay patient due to her stroke in 2022. I believe if some of the issues I mention above could be taken care of it would be a more comfortable and pleasant for the residents and family that visit. The nursing staff are very responsible concern, attentive,for all the residents.
