Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center is truly a phenomenal community—one that stands out for its top-tier care, beautiful surroundings, and dedicated team. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how special this place is. The environment is warm, inviting, and designed with both comfort and elegance in mind. What truly makes them exceptional is the people, and Corrie VanRensburg is a perfect example of that. She is absolutely amazing—going above and beyond to ensure that every resident and family feels supported, valued, and cared for. Her kindness, dedication, and passion for what she does are evident in every interaction, making a real difference in the lives of those she serves. Thanks for all you do for our seniors!
I cannot fathom how the one person gave Cedar Ridge a one star review. My mom has lived there since May of 2020 and has been given the best care. She has Lewy Body dementia and her doctor gave her 6 months to live. Well, it's now December 2024 and she's still going strong. The staff at Cedar Ridge take such great care of her. They rock!
I had a wonderful experience with Cedar Ridge Alzheimer’s Special Care Center. I had moved my mom who had Alzheimer’s Dementia in with me from the Sherman, Texas area and at the beginning everything was perfect. But then after living with me for 3 years and the Covid Pandemic and my mom progressing in her disease things got hard. I found Cedar Ridge when I was checking out all the facilities around me that have respite programs. I loved Cedar Ridge the best so I placed her for a trial respite stay. I was able to watch her without her seeing me and I saw how much better she was doing at Cedar Ridge than she was doing in my home. In my home she was sitting in a recliner 24/7 watching The Game Show Network. And being all grumpy with me and calling me Satan. It was a little rough when I first admitted mom but it seemed like after about a month she was thanking me for finding her such a nice place. She loved all her friends at Cedar Ridge. And she definitely loved the food and the treats they got when they played games. I remember I would take mom to my house for holidays and birthdays and she was always ready to go back to Cedar Ridge. Practically skipping when she walked in the door making a beeline for the dining room. She enjoyed the companionship of others that were in the same situation she was in. I am so glad I found Cedar Ridge. I knew she was in a safe place and I was able to take trips with my family without worrying about her. I love all the workers at Cedar Ridge. I don’t think I have ever met anyone that works there that I didn’t like. Corrie runs a tight ship. And I really truly feel like we are all family at Cedar Ridge. My beautiful mom passed away recently. She had a very peaceful journey and passing. Placing my mom at Cedar Ridge was one of the best things I ever did. I love Cedar Ridge and I plan on going over and volunteering when I can. That place is awesome.
