CLAREWOOD HOUSE EXTENDED CARE CENTER

My 92-year-old mother moved to Independent Living at Clarewood House in 2016. After three years, she transitioned to Assisted Living, and now, as she needs more care, is living in the Extended Care Center. I can’t say enough good things about Clarewood House. Outstanding, longtime staff, feels like home, caring and compassionate environment. Beautiful porch and well-manicured grounds. Clarewood House is a gem.

Great COVID protocols. My mother has lived here nearly 8 years. The care for all residents and response to maintenance requests is top-notch. I would recommend Clarewood House to anyone looking for a muliti-level care and retirement community.

I want to share what a wonderful home my husband and I have found at Clarewood House. We sold our home and moved here almost twelve years ago and have never regretted it for a second. Among the many pluses: • Every staff member treats us residents with kindness, respect and (most importantly to me) good humor. We wanted a happy place to laugh as we grow older. • There is a complete feeling of safety and security. (Even during the last hurricane the entire management team moved in with us to be on site to respond immediately to any problems we might encounter • There is flexibility to accommodate our individual needs.(You can eat all of your meals or none of them in the dining facility – and only pay for the meals you actually eat!!) • There are constantly changing activities to keep everyone active and socially involved. (My favorite new trip is a monthly excursion to the Farmer’s Market) • The grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. There is much encouragement to exercise and stay healthy. This place seems to extend people’s lifespans. We have encouraged so many of our friends to move here, it is getting more and more fun. We think it is the best place in Houston for retirees!!.
