CLEVELAND HEALTH CARE CENTER

This will be the second time that my mother has had to go to a nursing facility. This is also the second time that she has been here at Cleveland Health Care Center. The first time she, as well as I, were concerned about how she would be treated. She was bed bound and spent 21 days here. They did an excellent job. The only thing that we didn't like was that she was not able to use her diabetes monitor or her insulin delivery system. However, that was a director of nursing and a physician's decision. Which had nothing to do with the facilities staffs performance whatsoever. The best thing was that they were able to get my mother up and walk around! Everyone was great. So she wound up bed bound again from getting sick so many times again. She wants to walk again. We discussed rehabilitation again. She asked me where would I send her. My reply was, "What do you think about the place you went before?" She told me, "Well, let's do this! We are so very pleased with the staff and how informed they are. But, most of all, they approved her diabetes monitor and her insulin delivery system. I couldn't be more pleased. She has nothing bad to say about anyone there. She tells me that they treat her very well. I am not sure how long she'll be there, but our goal is for her to be able to walk again. Thank you to the entire staff, from the receptionist to the aides, for all that they do for our loved ones. One more point. When you walk through their hallways, there is a pleasant smell, not like other facilities, where it smells nice until you get to the hallways where the patients reside. Keep up the great work!

Initially, I was hopeful. When you have $$, all is good. Then, the government slowed Medicaid down. We were promised that she would get Medicaid after 5 days, after we spent down all of their money so she would qualify. What we got was her shipped out and nearly lost downtown at a public hospital. Very disappointed. I....think not here.....

My mother has been at the Cleveland Care Center for 15 months, and my sister has been there for 2 months. I am so happy that they can be roommates, definitely an answer to my prayers. The staff has literally become like family, they are so sweet with both of them. I have been so impressed by all of the staff, from the cleaning personnel, handyman, Physical Therapist, nurses, all the way to the Administrators.The entertainment lady has gone out of her way to find activities that are geared toward my sister’s interests. I am truly grateful to all of them.
