HAWKINS CREEK ASSISTED LIVING AND MEMORY CARE COMMUNITY

Hawkins Creek Assisted Living in Longview, Texas is one of the nicest Assisted Living & Memory Care communities I’ve visited. The staff is always friendly & helpful. The community is clean and bright. All residents are happy, clean and in great spirits every time I visit. I highly recommend this community for anyone looking for a place for their loved one.

Please consider carefully what your loved one needs before choosing this memory care. For months they did not fill my mom’s prescription for her behavioral health medication. We saw her become more difficult, would take her for care with her physician, but they would not fill or reconcile her meds at Hawkins. The state finally came in and uncovered the issue. They would not apologize for their mistake and instead raised our rate by more than $1,200 a month because they said my mom was “difficult”. They caused her temporary difficulties by not providing her with medication she needed. There is a drastic lack of nursing care and no physician oversight of this unit. The manager, Chris, was unapologetic and rude to my family. We moved my mom to another facility that has better practices around care and medication management. My mom’s room frequently had other residents in it using her restroom. Her belongings, like clothes, always walked off. Hawkins Creek needs to evaluate how they care for our loved ones.

When we started looking for a place for mom to live where she would get the care she needed,we looked at every one in Longview it seemed like. We decided on Hawkins Creek because it just seemed the place to be. The staff at Hawkins Creek were truly a blessing not only for my mom but for our entire family as well. They always greeted us with a smile, there was never a bobble in her care at all. They loved on our mom when we were not there too. I will always highly recommend Hawkins Creek to anyone that ask or is in need of care for a loved one. To the staff at Hawkins Creek: Thank You for taking care of JoJo.
