Kristina, the Director of Marketing & Admissions at Hurst Nursing Plaza, has been a godsend for our family. My father has experienced several ICU and hospital visits this year and now requires significant assistance with mobility, leading us to the challenging decision to admit him to a skilled nursing facility. Although his unique situation prevented him from being admitted to Hurst Plaza, Kristina has gone above and beyond to help us find an appropriate place for him. She has provided a wealth of resources and connected us with numerous helpful contacts. Throughout a time when obtaining answers and assistance seemed nearly impossible, Kristina was the first person to show genuine compassion and a sincere desire to help. Her support has been invaluable, and we will never forget her kindness and dedication. The world truly needs more people like Kristina.

Hurst Plaza Nursing and Rehabilitation is a wonderful nursing home full of experienced employees who deeply care about the residents for whom they care! My dear husband has been a resident at Hurst Plaza for 8 months and he has been cared for, each and every day, by a dedicated health team who love him and treat him with great respect. Regrettably, my husband has both Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease and he is totally dependent on others for everything! He is unable to walk he so relies on a wheelchair. He is also unable to feed himself and he is completely incontinent. The CNAs dress him, bath him and visit him regularly to make sure he is okay and to visit with him for a while. Loneliness in a nursing home is common but at Hurst Plaza a lot is done to keep the residents from becoming that way. Physical Therapy is impressive at Hurst Plaza! My husband had to stay awhile at a few other places in town before we thankfully found Hurst Plaza and the physical therapy was not near as good or given as often as it is at Hurst Plaza! My husband often has physical therapy 7 days a week now which strikes me as utterly amazing! You will be pleased you did!! February 20, 2024 My husband has been a resident at Hurst Plaza for 10 months now and his time here has been excellent. The team of professionals who care for him continue to do their job diligently and compassionately. I am grateful to have found Hurst Plaza. As sad as I am that my dear husband continues to decline from Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Disease, at least he is surrounded by loving people who care deeply about him. He is completely dependent on others now for everything; he must be fed, he must be showered, he is completely incontinent and must be constantly changed, he can not walk nor is he able to talk but to say yes and no and to tell me he loves me. All of this is unimaginable to me…as though I am living in a bad dream,. All that matters to me is that hd is well cared for when I am not there and I know he is! Thank you Hurst Plaza for your love, your compassion and your heavenly support. 4/29/2024 Guy has now been a resident at Hurst Plaza Nursing and Rehabilitation for a bit over a year and although he has been extremely well cared for by the professional medical staff there, Guy has declined and is having a difficult time with his motor skills and his speech. Guy was able to ‘I love you too’ but now his response to me is a staring face. Of course, this saddens me terribly and makes me miss him beyond belief. His dear caregivers continue to cheerfully take care of his every need. He doesn’t go long without a loving visit from someone on staff at Hurst Plaza. The CNA’s give wonderful service! They change his diapres and his clothing regularly and he is bathed every other day except on weekends. Ice water is provided on a regular basis and he is fed by loving hands. I could not ask for any better care for my dear, precious husband. Guy and I love one another very much and this has been painful for both of us but the staff at Hurst Plaza is extraordinary! They care for Guy as though he was in their own family! They care for me the same way! God bless them all‼️
