KIRKWOOD MANOR

Ashleigh, Kirkwood Manor’s Transportation Expert helped my Dad, Donald get to the VA clinic in New Braunfels, Tx this morning. Ashleigh has helped us get to previous appointments also! She is a wonderful, personable and caring person! Our family is very grateful and thankful for Ashleigh being there for us and our father! Thank you Ashleigh!

My mother went in to this facility a bit confused and not able to walk well…but the professionals at Kirkwood has done an amazing job because she is back to herself and walking! From the nurses to physical therapy, really everyone was so awesome! Kind, personable and fully capable to assist with anything! We highly recommend Kirkwood!

This place was recommended to my friend and made him to believe they'd be taking excellent care of him. It is at best mediocre. The hallways have a smell of feces/crap emanating from them. The patients appear to be really sick and uncomfortable. I arrived around 1pm on a Sunday. He had been waiting on his medication since 12. He pushed the call button before I arrived. It took them almost 2 hours to come check on him. This is ridiculous! The nurse tells him he has to request for his medication for them to bring it to him? The nurse tells him he has to schedule an appointment for a shower. It's their job to take care of each of the patients in their care. Is it too much to ask for people to do their damn job. The nurse also told me she didn't bring his meds to him because she was on lunch.. who takes a 2-hour lunch? My friend has one leg and is having a hard time getting around as it is. The staff here keep putting things out of reach for him which is really questionable on why they would do this. Particular item has to be a piss jug. They'll wait until he pisses himself before they come and empty it and leave the piss jug in the bathroom where he can't reach it.
