My mom has been at nursing home two years now and she enjoys the attention and hospitality. Staff are nice and supportive. Administrators hear your concerns promptly. They are all very good people. They treat their patients the most humanely way possible.
My mother is a new resident here and I was very weary of her stay here, but so far the employees the RNs, CNA‘s, and the administration has made me feel very comfortable with the transition and although my mother doesn’t really realize what’s happening because she has advanced Alzheimer’s and dementia I do feel that she’s comfortable there so far. EDITING …. SINCE HER ADMISSION I HAVE ASKED MANY QUESTIONS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN ANSWERED, HER ROOMMATE HAS HELPED ME OUT MORE THEN ANYINE ELSE THERE ….. MAYBE BECAUSE SHE IS NEW AND ITS ONLY BEEN A WEEK BUT I REALLY HOPE THINGS CHANGE BECAUSE I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO SLEEP NOT KNOWING HOW SHE IS DOING AND EVERYTIME I GO SHE IS ASLEEP AND NO ONE IS AROUND TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS! Follow up, my mother passed away at the nursing home, only lasted 5 weeks! Super fast decline since she entered there, lots of unanswered questions till now lost clothes, she fell and broke her arm and I wasn’t notified until many days later because they didn’t even realize it was broken until hospice came and figured it out! Hospice was the best thing I could have done for her because the nursing home was just ugh …. Very disappointed still now after 2 minor her passing!!!!
I had my grandmother at a bother nursing home which was very poorly managed. The people that worked there were very cold and had no empathy. My grandmother did a completely 180 here at La Frontera… she has been here for about a year and a half I believe (perhaps a little more). And she is doing great… the nurses and nurse aids have empathy and try their best to please my grandmother (their patients). I go quite often and have developed good relationships with the workers and so has my grandmother. The staff is great!
Quality Score
Carley found families deeply appreciated the exceptionally attentive and compassionate staff, though some concerns about communication and resource consistency emerged.
