Update it gets worse: We moved her and the only thing of hers that we could find was her shoes. Clothes with her name in sharpie and embroidered are gone. Two expensive jackets are gone. Colorful fun socks are gone. At least one pair of shoes is gone. Books are gone. Her glasses were lost long ago and never found. I don't even remember what else, but the items she had could fit in a very small bag. This company needs to fire their billing, spend 120k on salary and hire someone with very good experience to untangle the snafu and once money is coming in hire more staff. Original: This used to be a good facility, but after two ownership changes it's bad enough I am moving my mother in law out. She is in the memory ward. There used to be regular events in which family was notified and invited to attend. Those are gone. There used to be more staff, but now they are on a skeleton crew and everyone is overworked. Good used to be good lower end restaurant, now it's school lunch level. The only medical care they provide is a doctor I've never seen prescribing more calming meds. If you're relative has diabetes and needs a podiatrist to clip nails you have to arrange to take them yourself even though they say they will take care of it. Now the really bad part is billing. Never left them do a one time draw from your account. We did and they have been billing monthly, but getting invoices is like pulling teeth and we need them for insurance, so we can't balance the account easily and have issues with overdraftimg (we just found out we can stop this one payment with the bank and are trying to arrange for that because changing the account number will lead to hours of work). For all this you would think you are at a discount place. No. Over $6k a month for this negligence. If the owning company wasn't cheap they could hire someone to properly take care of accounting and then they could fix this, but clearly the owning company is both short sited and flat out doesn't care.

I entrusted my father with this facility and it seems as though he has gotten worse since he was admitted, and he was only there for a little over a week. We had to have him transferred to another facility because of the neglect he endured here. I would not recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a home for their loved one. Hours long response times, residents’ concerns and complaints are not taken seriously, and administrative staff is even avoidant of family members. My father has a progressive neurodegenerative disorder and has lost most of his mobility. Staff often did not give my father his medicine on time, and even ignored him for hours while he was in pain. One night nurse named Silas flat out refused to give my dad his pain medication when he needed it. They also gave him food that he could not eat due to dietary restrictions. When he could eat, he needed help with feeding. One nurse got frustrated at this and threw his fork on the tray, left the room, and did not come back. The same nurse also refused to help him with adjusting his bed and left the room. We did not get her name. Our family had also been trying to get in contact with medical records for insurance purposes. Eva, the person in charge of medical records, did not help over email and even avoided to meet with my mother when she was there to speak with her. Of course there are good nurses at this facility, but that does not make up for the amount of neglect and disrespect that goes on here. If you care about the person you are looking for a home for, do not come here.

Our experience with this skilled nursing facility was truly wonderful. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure their patients are comfortable and well cared for. Communication with the care team is clear and reassuring. We recommend Magnolia Crossing for all our your rehabilitation, long term care, and memory care needs!

Carley's Analysis

Carley found exceptional care quality and a beautifully clean environment, though staffing shortages and communication gaps created significant frustration for some families.
