Millbrook Healthcare And Rehabilitation Center

Just walked into this facility wondering if I was going to be slammed in the face with smell of urine and/or bleach at the door, since this is my experience everytime I have to go to a LLC facility. But to my pleasant surprise, not only does it smell really nice like a hotel, it’s not overpowering and very pleasant to the nose. I am unfortunately, someone who is very sensitive to overpowering smells, or body smells, and bleach. I am thankful that this facility is cognizant of the need for the building to smell pleasant and not overpowering. It’s a tremendous effort and I applaud the staff and cleaning crew. While waiting to get paperwork that I needed, I started overhearing little conversations here and there. Everybody is very nice and polite to each other. The nurses station looks organized and seems organized. No one seems stressed out. It’s also not very loud like it usually is it loud in long-term care facilities, this one just has a really nice calming vibe. There are not Resident sitting at the front or all over the place, sleeping in their wheelchairs. This means that they are really taken care of and get squared away to activities or/and therapies. Devon the receptionist was very sweet when I first walked in and welcomed me and helped me get the paperwork I needed. She’s extremely pleasant and People-Person oriented. Her voice is pleasant and by talking with her I can tell she has a lot of pride in this facility. It is very clean very tidy, there’s no chaos in the front of the nurses station or the side of the nurses station with residents or therapists. I sure did like this announcement board when I walked in. I love that the facility engages the residents in so much throughout the month. Lovely facility truly 🩷

All of the staff were very helpful, answering all of my questions and tending to my father’s needs during his stay. I can rest easy knowing he has been in good hands with the staff at Millbrook.
