I can not give New Haven enough credit for everything they do. My mom has been at this facility for over a year and each and EVERY staff member has become family, I couldn’t ask for my mom to be in better hands! When i did my tour alittle over a year ago I knew from the moment we walked in this was her home, the staff that day greeted us and Roxanne is amazing. Roxanne has shown us what it means to be involved with the patient care and the family as well. The facility is always clean and never have I had a complaint from my mom. Mandi and Nancy have always shown the best care as well. The caregivers treat the patients as if they are family and it means the world to me to know that my loved one is taken care of so well and not to mention loved❤️❤️. I would recommend New Haven to anyone that wants to be at ease on where their loved one is.
I had a tour scheduled for saturday at 10am and when I got there Roxanne was not there so the one of the kitchen staff said one moment let me call Roxanne to see whe she will be here. As she got off the phone she said let me show you a couple rooms while we wait for Roxanne to show up. By 1030 we are done with the tour and I sat in the living room area waiting for Roxanne. The kitchen lady (sorry I cant remember her name but she was very sweet) said that Roxanne is on her way and should be here in 10 to 20 minutes. By 11am still no Roxanne no phone call nothing. So I ended up leaving and found another place for my nana since she just had stroke and needed to find a place quickly for assisted living. Roxanne finally calls me on Tuesday! And told me she was out of town. Thats funny because your staff told me something different and that you were on your way to the facility. Thats a damn lie. With that being said I will not put my nana at this facility because it is very unprofessional and dont really care. Also while I was waiting I was listening to the staff talk crap about each other and other staff members. I hope this info helps other people trying to get assistance for their loved ones. Please dont go there.
My mother has been as New Haven Assisted Living for a little over a year now. Our experience has been amazing. We have other family members in assisted living facilities and I can tell you that the care and compassion at New Haven is well above what we have seen anywhere else. Roxanne has been the director for 95% of the time my mom has been there and I hope it stays that way. Ashley and Anthony have been on the staff there since day one and I hear almost daily from my Mom about them going above and beyond for her. These are just the people I know by name, the entire staff really is no different. A very high level of patience and compassion is obviously a big proponent here. While many places will claim this as a value proposition, New Haven is one of the few places that really invests in a staff where these attributes are highly developed. This truly is the best place for a loved one who is looking for a smaller community with a caring staff that is basically an extended family.
Quality Score
Carley found a spotless, welcoming environment with genuinely warm and attentive staff, though families occasionally noted communication delays and inconsistent responsiveness.
