I gave five stars because since my love One has been at this facility I have received nothing but the upmost respect and awesome care, but my number one shout out goes to the DON Miss Latoya. This lady has made me feel at peace made me feel comfortable and helped me to know that everything is gonna be OK there they have been very attentive. I’m satisfied and I’m happy that I made the choice that I made with taking my loved one here.

It took 9 months to get my mother out of this horrible place. Promises and lies from the constant turnover of staff. Three administrators in that 9 months. The PT department was a let down. They just let her say "no" and never pressed her to get up and try. Constant turnover of CNAs and staff while always being under staffed. The best, most caring person they had was the social worker and they ran her off, too. I visited my mom 8 days apart and she was still in the same clothes when I last saw her. No dirty clothes in the hamper and no shower or bed bath in those 8 days. (I did her laundry because they kept losing her clothes.) My mom got pneumonia and sepsis and they didn't even notice she was completely out of it, talking nonsense. They wanted to monitor her overnight when I brought it to their attention. She couldn't even eat. I insisted she go to the hospital or I would call 911 myself. She developed a huge bedsore. She went from 120 lbs to 105 lbs. The food was horrible. The building is falling apart. The roof leaks, so all the ceiling tiles are stained, the floors are stained and dirty, the furniture is damaged and old, and the main hallway to the left (east) ALWAYS smelled like poop. This place is horrible and my mom did nothing but decline instead of get better after breaking her hip. Now that I finally got her into a better place, she is happily attending PT 3 times a week, goes to activities daily, and has had an eye exam, podiatrist, dentist, psychiatrist, and counselor visits. Most of the time, Oakmont didn't even have anyone staffing the front desk or answering calls. It's horrible. Don't let the fake office staff fool you. They lie and don't help with Medicaid as promised. I sent the same paperwork over and over and the business office never answered or acknowledged the papers I sent, never answered emails, and even after sitting in her office redoing the Medicaid stuff, it still didn't get done right. If I could give them zero stars I would. Don't send your loved one here! If they are not somewhat able to maneuver themselves around, they will just rot away in bed while Oakmont takes your money.

Carley's Analysis

Carley found serious staffing shortages and inconsistent care quality—including medication errors and delayed responses—that families described as deeply concerning, though the facility's clean environment and strong rehabilitation program were bright spots.
