Be very careful sending your loved one here. The nurses are unable to assess your loved ones and make decisions on sending the resident to the hospital. The nursing staff is undereducated and must wait for the doctor to do his weekly rounds to assess illness. So if your mom/dad/whoever is knocking on deaths door on a Thursday, the person must wait until Monday morning when the doctor comes in to figure out if your ppl are sick, and dying. My mother went from the DON telling us at 12pm "we are sending her home today regardless! She doesn't even need any equipment. We just need to get her home and the home health nurse can deal with getting her a hospital bed, Hoyer lift etc after she's home." to taken by ambulance to Baylor with severe dehydration, and malnutrition, sepsis, UTI, and pneumonia at 1pm. Btw, you could hear the fluid in her lungs from across the room with the naked ear. Nevermind being a nurse with a stethoscope. The pic is the condition of my mom just a few hrs after she was going to be sent home. She was being loaded with fluids, albumin, antibiotics, and other meds for hours beginning in the ambulance and the nurse in ICU said she's actually alot better than she had been on arrival. My guess is nobody laid eyes on her all night and probably not a whole lot all weekend. Her skin looked like trash bags she was so dehydrated. Each time my brother went up to the facility, she was bone dry in her cup and begging for water. Her condition did not turn to this in a day or two. Much less over the course of an hour. The place is a joke and the DON feels as though she is not responsible for overseeing the nursing staff because in her words, "Im just the interim". I am unable to respond to the owner reply so I will say it here. I will not discuss anything with the exec dir. If you would like to speak with someone about this case, you may contact Crowe, Arnold & Majors LLP of Dallas Tx

I wanted to share a recent experience that highlights the responsiveness of the facility's management. A family friend reported missing a scheduled bath due to short staffing, which was very concerning. I immediately spoke with Shar, the Director of Nursing, who addressed the issue right away. Since our conversation, my friend has been receiving her showers regularly. This quick and serious response to a resident's concern was incredibly reassuring. Beyond this, I'm consistently impressed with the facility's cleanliness, the quality of the food, and the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. I appreciate their commitment to resolving issues and ensuring residents' needs are met. -CP

Your place was very welcoming and hospitable. Carroll the receptionist was especially kind, cheerful and helpful. When I teased a lady on the kitchen staff about missing supper, she offered to fix me something on the spot! An orderly I met in room 107 was very kind and friendly also. Your entire staff were all very kind and professional. Your facility was clean, organized and very impressive. Thank you!
