RIDGECREST RETIREMENT AND HEALTHCARE COMMUNITY

Wonderful care and attention given to my mom. If she continues to cooperate and do therapy she will improve and be able to leave. It’s been a huge adjustment for her. The facility is very clean. The food service is not so great. It’s late morning breakfast is cold. No butter or jelly. No coffee or milk. She eats very little to nothing.

My mom has been at Ridgecrest a year. Her care there has been phenomenal. After breaking her hip, and not getting good treatment at a different rehab nursing home, Ridgecrest welcomed her back with loving care. Alyssa and all the nursing staff there have taken it upon themselves to make sure that my mom gets extra attention. They have also worked to find extra home health to come in and help mom while she recuperate. You feel so blessed!💕💕💕

Granted the staff were nice to my mother, they encouraged her to participate in group therapy and activities. My mom went in as 2nd choice for her stroke. Within a week she was oxygen dependent and developed bad diaper rash. They are extremely understaffed.....and they take a lot of cigarette breaks. One even left the premises and came back 30 minutes later. They are just run very differently than what we are accustomed to at our first choice rehab facility. My mother ended up breaking her hip. 2 days after surgery and starting in-patient rehab at the hospital she was off oxygen and her diaper rash cleared up quickly so that says a lot about Ridgecrest. I've been calling and trying to obtain her medical records and accident report for almost 3 weeks now at no avail. They keep on giving me the run around. Bottom line, do not being your loved ones here.
