I don't recommend to have a loved one placed in. When my grandma first arrived they were so attentive them after they kept ignoring her. If have to call or show up. The hallways smell like urine , there was a few lady who you can tell loved there job. Mickey, Blanca took care of her very well. My grandma called me Thursday she wasn't feeling well . I called them to.let them know to check on her and if she needed treatment since she is supposed to use oxygen 24/7 instead it was used 8 hours. Then she was taken to the hospital on Saturday and passed on Monday. This place is nothing but neglecting on elderly people. I feel bad for the ones who dont have family and can't speak up.

My husband was here for almost a year before he passed away last week after struggling with Alzheimer's since 2019 (and probably longer). They took such excellent care of him. The staff treated him so well and helped me when I needed it. He sang a lot (which meant he was happy) and enjoyed seeing his regular nurses. He even had a great roommate who updated me on how my husband was doing. It was so sweet. I wish to thank Stacey Abrams, the business development manager, for letting me interrupt a morning meeting to thank everyone the day my husband died to thank everyone. Also, Maria, the admin, and Lisa, the director of nursing, for also being so accommodating when needed. And Kim, the social worker, was incredible and amazing! Cathy, the activities director, always showed me pictures of my husband participating in activities when he could. All the CNAs and RNs, you were awesome! Adrian (both the CNA and the RN Adrian) were there when I needed a hug or information and I appreciated it. Myla and Brandy, my husband's OT and PT, were awesome with him and he loved being around them. The ladies in the business office made taking care of paperwork a breeze. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nursing home.

Entrusting your parent or loved one into the care of others is a big decision. It's important to do proper research. With this review, I hope to make San Antonio West Nursing and Rehabilitation your loved one's top choice. It should go without saying that elders deserve the same respect and dignity, if not more than we expect. A quality skilled nursing program is committed to truly patient-centered care. It starts with San Antonio West's commitment to providing the medically necessary services of licensed nurses, physical and occupational therapists, and speech pathologists. Residents get routine observation and check-ups by providing these medical service professionals onsite. Furthermore, the peace of mind that comes with knowing that immediate medical care is at hand in an emergency cannot be overstated. It ensures that your loved one's needs will be promptly addressed without delay or oversight. At any facility, it can be easy for residents' spirits to run low if they aren't encouraged and given opportunities to find a sense of purpose in their day-to-day lives. San Antonio West does a fantastic job with resident community engagement, with programs and activities available daily. I've had the opportunity to observe activities. I've watched how my mother and the staff interact, which reassured me of her placement at the facility. During a tour or visitation, pay attention to the mood of the staff members. They have a few superstars—Ms. Blanca is one of them! She is always cheerful and upbeat, caring, and makes time to get to know residents and their families. She has done a fantastic job caring for my mother. Ms. Yvonne and Darlene are others to mention who have the same upbeat attitude toward patient care. San Antonio West is the nursing and rehabilitation center for your loved one's long or short-term stay! The staff has proven their kindness and compassion for patient care!!!
