My dear friend was a resident at St. Francis. I was with him everyday for about three months. During that time I observed nothing but competency, compassion, and kindness from all staff, especially the beautiful sisters. The facility is spotless and there is the opportunity for residents to engage in a variety of activities all day, everyday. My niece, who as geriatric psychiatrist in Florida has extensive experiences with nursing homes, said St. Francis was by far the best she had seen. She was particularly impressed with the mental stimulation offered and the cleanliness of the facility. I don't have enough wonderful things to say about this amazing place. God bless you Sisters and assist you in your ministry.
My mother has been at St. Francis for several years and I could not imagine a better home for her. The care is excellent and the place is always spotless. The sisters who run it are always there and she loves the daily Mass. My mom has made some great friendships, she loves going to activities and she even says the food is, “just like homemade.” We are so lucky to have this hidden treasure in San Antonio! If you are looking for a place you will feel truly comfortable leaving your loved one look no further.
Location is centrally located & convenient if you work downtown so you can go visit after work. STAFF is amazing, very caring and cooperative with my mom who has dementia. Even when patients are difficult, they are so professional and caring of their needs. The doctor is a gem. He is so good at communicating and follows up with all his patients and family. Will be there on weekends to make rounds at times. The facility staff always cleaning. I'm very sensitive to odors... Not a problem here ever bc they are religiously tend to patients cleanliness, the rr, the dining, & hallways. The food is tasty and heed nutritional standards. Mom's complexion and weight have never been this good. The nurses and CNAs work so very hard to make this place like home to every one. Sits in a Quiet neighborhood and safe enough to walk 3 blocks to the park or just enjoy the tranquil courtyard they have. The office staff also great bc they will help you with all sorts of red tape paperwork with Medicare, Medicaid, insurance etc.. Also they have a assisted living facility attached if not needing full nursing care So if you're seeking out a place for your loved one, pay them a visit and then go see 3 others and you'll find this place is perfect!
