It has been a couple of months since my last review and I want to add to our experiences at St. Teresa. We continue to be grateful for the consistent excellent care my mother receives there. For grandparents day we had a wonderful time enjoying the delicious breakfast that was prepared by the cooking staff. You could tell that they worked hard to give a great variety of dishes. It was better than at the restaurants. The entertainment was as so good that we couldnβt help but get up to dance. We took pictures by the festive display that the staff and the residents created. This is one of many activities that everyone there so warmly offers the residents of St. Teresa to make their stay a happy one. We are beyond grateful with everyone from the cleaning staff, to the receptionist at the front desk, office staff, therapists, doctors, nurses. They all treat her so well, which gives our family peace of mind.
My mom was here for the last month of her life because unfortunately I couldn't take care of her by myself at home. She had the most horrible experience during the last month and I was just about to take her out and just bring her home on hospice but she passed away on me before I could do that. I would try to go every day and in the beginning nobody wanted to take her to the restroom, they would lecture her and make her feel really bad that she didn't even want to call for help anymore, she would just sit there and wait until I got there and I would go and demand them to put her in the restroom so that she could finally go. I complained many times to the director to the director of nursing to the nurse that my mom was not being treated well they would scream at her. Like I mentioned before I would go there every day and I witnessed that my mom would push the button and even the lady in the next bed and they would not come to help them, the CNA would come in turn off the light and leave! My mom was miserable there I felt so bad I would cry everyday I didn't know what to do I didn't want her to be there I couldn't even take care of her by myself. The last day she was there the same thing, but this time my mom was very weak and she had to go in her diaper, when I got there this was on November er 6th she had been in her wet diaper all day since the morning and when I asked to CNA to change her she said " yes I will after my break"....she never came and I stayed there after visiting hours it was about 8:45 p.m. and the CNA came in just to turn the light off and I demanded that she changed her, my mom was drenched wet and she asked if that was sweat, I said no that's urine and her whole bed was dripping wet and I believe possibly that's why she developed pneumonia and I asked them to take her to the hospital that day and they said oh no she's ok because her vitals are okay. They didn't listen to me and then when it was 11:30 at night is when they finally took her to the hospital! I drove passing red lights trying to get to the hospital and I was there with her she was having trouble breathing and then she passed away there because she had water in her lungs ... She passed away because of pneumonia, not her cancer π the doctor had told me she had about 6 months left to live π. But the point I'm trying to make is that they take forever to come and assist the patients. I was there every day advocating for her and she still was not treated well on her last month of life πππ I regret taking her there so much because she had a horrible miserable last month of her life and I feel so bad for my poor mom!!! πππ Yes she was there because she was dying at any moment but she was not treated with dignity. I will forever regret taking her there and I will miss my mom forever π but just to let you know the physical therapist, the nurses and some of the CNAs are great. But there are some of them that are horrible and they are understaffed they don't come to take care of the patients in a timely manner! Some of them are mean to the patients/ residents and yell at them!!! πππ
βI canβt say enough good things about this nursing home. The staff are compassionate, patient, and truly treat residents like family. The facility is always clean, welcoming, and safe. They provide excellent medical care while also creating a warm environment filled with activities, smiles, and kindness. Knowing my loved one is in such good hands gives me so much peace of mind. I am so grateful for the care and dedication shown here every single day.β Shout out to Jessica and staff β€οΈ
Quality Score
Carley found exceptional care quality and a beautifully maintained, welcoming environment, though families raised serious concerns about staffing responsiveness and consistent hands-on assistance.
