I woke up with a cold coughing headache, a for two days it got worse. When I couldn't swallow or barely breathe I called 911 and im so glad I did! I went to this hospital and was surprised at the staff was so professional, and it was clean not busy either so I didnt have sit in a waiting room at all! I was given all treatment and told I tested positive for Covid19! I spent 5 days in there, it was hard to sleep, but the coffee is good and bacon and eggs also!

The swing bed rehabilitation facility at the Swisher Memorial Hospital in Tulia Texas is phenomenal. I can see where some could think that little old Tulia couldn’t possibly provide the same care as a larger facility in a big city could, but let me just say you would be wrong because they are BETTER! Our Dad recently had a 27 day stay in Tulia’s swing bed facility, and I firmly believe he would not have received the same quality care anywhere else. He would not have received the genuine love, compassion, detailed attention and positive relationships all with a dignified approach and personal touch atmosphere, anywhere other than Tulia. Nurse practitioner, Devon Brock and Dr. Travis King are an exceptional team and worked tirelessly to figure out a lot of mysteries going on with my Dad’s health….Mysteries that numerous big city doctors could not figure out and to be honest did not want to try, but not NP Brock and Dr. King…. They didn’t stop until we had answers and direction. Our excellent care did not stop there, the nursing staff ( too many of you wonderful people to name ) was phenomenal, the physical therapist Cara and Scott are top-notch, and scheduling/case management were very helpful in our transition back home…Plus you are always greeted with a smile and warm welcome from Kristy when you first walk in. We are so grateful we chose to come to the Swisher Memorial Hospital swing bed rehabilitation facility, don’t let some of those 5 star, big city facilities, fool ya… and I’m only speaking from our experience on the ones we looked into, if you dig a little deeper, you may find their staff rating is not 5 stars at all…only the facility and its fluff. It was more important to us that our loved one be treated with kindness and dignity while being rehabilitated, than anything else and that is exactly what we got. Our dad is in a much better position to continue recovery and get stronger at home because of the 27 days he spent with these amazing people. Thank you so much to all of you who had a part in his recovery story, we are ever so grateful!
