It was Friday, the 4th of July. I had just arrived to be admitted to the Brain Injury Program. While performing my admission assessment, one of the therapist looked me in the eye and said “I have worked at a lot of different places. This place is magical. I have seen miracles here.” I almost spit out my water. By the time I left 2 weeks later, I had seen miracles too. The admission assessments were completed quickly as no one wanted me to miss the pizza party. I had been a nurse for 20 years, recently retired. I have a decade of experience in SNF/LTC. Every interaction I had with staff was therapeutic. The patents helped each other with the reality of loss of function, provided support, encouragement. They were fighting battles you could see as they struggled to regain as much function as they could. I have also been a Psych nurse, Acute Inpatient. The support of peers who have “Been There, Done That.” means more than anything else. I was there for 2 weeks. I arrived broken, lost and angry. I left whole. I got a miracle, and a lesson in humility. I have helped patients who know that the only way they will get something to eat or drink is if you give it to them, for. They could not eat or drink on their own. There is a bond that forms, if it's done right. I watched and it was always done right. I was humbled by the care I received. I was in awe as I watched the care others received. We had movies and popcorn on the weekend. We went to a video arcade. For people whose lives have changed overnight, it felt like home, in other word ‘Heaven’. It took me a while to start writing this Google review using my real name because I did want to spend hours crying while composing it. I was the only patient that anyone could remember who had arrived by Uber. To all of the staff, Director, CNAs, Therapists (all you guys) and Nurses Thanks for the Miracle John Survis

My experience at Texas NeuroRehab Center was wonderful. The 67 acres that the property sits on is beautiful and so incredibly peaceful and was a huge help to my recovery. In spite of the horrific OR error that got me to Texas NeuroRehab, the care I received was very good and truly amazing. One of the most important things to me, all of the staff made me feel comfortable and safe. The care I received from the hospital staff was wonderful. Dr Arrant, Charis, Anita, Bradley and many others were so very patient, kind and respectful in the care they gave me. Kevin, my occupational therapist, and Jen, my physical therapist, and there teams were extremely supportive and patient when working with me. I made improvements that I never thought possible. In regards to the wound care team, their care was outstanding! The healing they were able to help get my arm and hand to was absolutely unbelievable and truly miraculous. I will be forever grateful to Dr Chip, Ian, Sarah and John. Even Texas NeuroRehab's representative that I met in the hospital, after my family chose the center, was amazing! Alyas came to see me almost every other day while I was in the hospital. He truly cared about me and reassured me that TNRC would provide every thing I might need during my recovery. Last, but certainly not least, is my social worker, Cassie. She was so kind and helpful. She went out of her way to insure I had everything I needed while I was a patient and even after I was discharged but still receiving out-patient care for my wound. Texas NeiroRehab Center will be an outstanding choice for your continued care and rehabilitation after your hospital discharge.

Our loved one spent 3+ months at the Post Acute Brain Injury (PABI) program. I hope I am able to express how pleased we are with the care, compassion, and professional attention he received. The staff, including medical, therapists, and administrative/case management, are absolute pros that took a personal interest and helped our loved one progress beyond our hopes and expectations. It is a clean, warm environment with so much available beyond a basic rehab environment. We are so grateful that he was able to participate and be nurtured in this program.
