I came in barely walking with a cane. Came our running a quarters of a mile. Yesterday I reintegrated to practice with my Basketball Team in Puerto Rico and everything went Amazing. Everyone did an amazing job. I would love to know the last name of my Student PT Therapist Kaleigh so that I could thank her for all the basketball related drills she prepared for me. She did an amazing job and Erika pushed me to work hard as well. If you put in the work...They will prepare you to get back to enjoying life!!

Do NOT send your loved one to Pate Rehabilitation in Anna, TX — this place is a disgrace. Once considered a reputable facility, Pate has gone dramatically downhill since being acquired by BrightSpring. What they present online is a façade — the reality is far more troubling. Therapy? A black box. They’re secretive, uncooperative, and unwilling to let families observe therapy sessions — unlike most reputable rehab centers. Communication is poor at best, deceptive at worst. My brother is in a new facility. They did their own evaluation 1 day after being discharged from PATE as a high-risk discharge. Based on their assessment, he can't do 10% of what they claim he can do! Living conditions? Filthy. Sticky tables, dirty linens, and foul odors are the norm. Adult diapers left in hallways. The “West House” is especially appalling. Staff routinely ignore cleanliness and basic hygiene. The equipment is broken and neglected. My brother’s bed was broken for months. His call button — essential for urgent care — still barely works. And despite a stockpile of replacements in the house manager’s office, they taped it together with bandage tape rather than replace it. Those nice little facilities you now see on the website that (interestingly was redone when I started asking questions) that isn't what you live in at Brinlee Creek Ranch in Anna! Not even close. My brother's room was nasty and had stuff on the walls they repainted two days before he was discharged. Why wasn't it done before he arrived? Food? Deplorable. Not fit for a hospital or even a school cafeteria. Nutrition seems to be an afterthought. He is a diabetic and they continually offered him pasta for lunch & dinner which is so high in carbs and turns to straight sugar! Engagement? Nonexistent. The activity board in the house is just theater — not once in five months did any of those scheduled activities happen. Patients are left alone, stuck in bed all weekend with nothing to do. Most of the TVs don’t even have working remotes, and often you’re stuck watching someone else’s account I will finish this on another review! There is a 4K character limit! under my other gmail account!

I had the best time staying here. I met 5 great young ladies that put hope back into my steps and had me laughing everyday, mainly because of the other patients and the staff who helped in my recovery. Joe, patient, got me and my boyfriend together. Happily moved in with him. All the therapists from the staff helped in my recovery. They should all get a raise with helping me. Oh and now I'm authorized to drive by my neural eye Dr. I lost so much weight while I was here. Yeah! Still taking my medication. And if y'all hire on people for staff please make sure y'all find out why the workers are really there. I would laugh peeing in my wheelchair. You're closer to God when you're laughing. That was another reason I got through my recovery.

Carley's Analysis

Carley found serious concerns about facility cleanliness and environment quality, though rehabilitation outcomes and therapy results were genuinely impressive for many families.
