My mom stayed at The Center at Parmer in March 2025 and her stay was great. The food is great, the care staff are compassionate and caring, and the management team are clearly very knowledgeable and care about the patients and their families.
The facility is under staffed. When I pulled the "need assistance the wait would be excessively long. Waithing 5 minutes or more to get assistance to go or return from the toilet. The staff when they come in and apologize expressing their frustration that they just under staff and spread too thin. I needed ice packs. The staff would say they couldn't find any. I finally gave them zipper bags I had in my purse. I'd ask that the staff to fill with zipper bags double bagged. The food was really good sometimes and unedible other times. Each of physical therapist I worked with were professional, knowledgeable and were easy to work with. They do a great job encouraging and explaining. And each one explained why I needed to worked on in specific and why each of the exercises is important for different parts of the body. Based on my personal experience I would never recommend The Center at Palmer.
The nursing and therapists were attentive and caring and the meals were OK. There was however disorganization in management. The day my sister was admitted, the attending physician at the hospital told me she needed to see a neurologist. When she was moved to Parmer, I asked everyone involved with her care, up to and including the director, and we never got a referral to the specialist. I find that astonishing.
