I saw a flyer at the Sip And Shop in Cameron. Inviting the community to an event at Winnie L. this past Thursday, on the 22nd and I wanted to see what it was all about. When I first got there, I didn’t know how to get in the building, but a lady named Vickie was very helpful and so sweet. She told me where they were serving the food for the event, so I walked back to the dining room being greeted along the way by a nurse named Prya (not sure if I’m spelling this right) who was super nice. She introduced me to the administrator Brittany, and a couple of other nurses, including a Marketer named Stacey, and Social Worker named Megan. They asked me if I was there with family, and I said I had seen the flyer to check it out along with the facility. But let me tell you what I ate, which was beef stew with cornbread, a side salad, beverages, and for desert which was white cake with buttercream frosting. I sat down with residents of the facility and they were genuinely friendly and so sweet, which mind you I didn’t know them, but we talked for a whole hour. I was full and felt more social than ever, mind you this was my first time ever visiting. If they have another event, I will come back each and every time to share conversations with these great people. Thank you Winnie L.

Winnie L has new administration & DON. My mom spent 8 years in nursing & rehab in both places in Cameron, and 2 of those years on hospice before recently passing. The new DON "T" is one of the best DONs I personally have seen. She keeps her crew motivated, has raised the bar on care, is a hands on director, stays on top of things, and keeps things in good order. It takes a special person to be a top notch leader and DON. She definitely raised the bar and fills the roll at this home. A special "thank you to Eric for 8 years of loving care, & Bree, the young CNA (has a young baby), and all my mother's direct care givers also. Thank you, Jeanie Hood

Winnie L nursing and rehab what a wonderful place. I met with admission Stacy she was very attentive stayed in contact with me about a referral. Winnie definitely has a wonderful administrator Brittany who goes above and beyond all expectations when touring the facility. Dietary definitely has the best food around. Activities in the facility are planned and always interesting and fun. I highly recommend if you are looking to place your family or a loved one. Contact Stacy or Brittany they can help facilitate any information you need and can help you get your family member in the best facility around.
