As managing editor of the Red River Sun, I love doing stories on Childress Healthcare Center! It's always fun to chat with residents, who I've known my whole life. I also enjoy the fun events Donna and Amanda put on. We are so blessed to have compassionate healthcare workers like them and their well-trained staff! Being there on a regular basis brings back good memories from my childhood when my sister and I visited there often with our mom, who was a teacher and made treats for the residents. My Godmother was a also a patient here, and they took such good care of her.
I have spent the last 20 years working in long term care. This is by far my favorite facility! The staff works together, celebrates each other and cares for our residents like their own family. My grandmother is a resident here. She loves it!
