Our experience with Pleasant Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center had a rocky start. When we first arrived for my mother’s admission, the nurse at the front desk was unresponsive and not very welcoming, which was frustrating during such a stressful time. Thankfully, Shannon, the social worker, stepped in and saved the day with her professionalism and genuine willingness to assist us throughout my mom’s stay from the beginning to the end. Shannon and the administrator Lana told us to reach out to them anytime, which gave me a lot of comfort and they were also readily available to address any issues that arose. The facility was very clean and well-kept. The therapists Seth, Ann-Marie, Selene and Blanche provided outstanding care and helped my mother regain her ability to speak and walk after losing her motor skills due to an acute illness. Seth the therapist took the timeout to allow my mom to do some therapy outside, which motivated her to walk instead of staying in the room the majority of the time. The one downside was the food, which was poorly cooked and not very palatable. Overall, despite the rocky start and food quality, the quality of care and therapy at Pleasant Valley made a positive impact on my mother’s rehabilitation journey.
So happy that our new flooring install is complete. It looks great and it so easy for the resident’s walkers and wheelchairs to navigate across. Proud of the our current outpatient caseload too. They report that they are making returns to deer hunting and swing dancing with much thanks to the hard word that they’ve put in with our therapy team.
Can take over an hour to respond to the call light. ( Multiple times/ Staff mostly sees you as a hunk of meat. Rehabilitation staff at least does care. There are some good people but few. Meals are a joke. Claim on meal tickets fresh fruit And get almost expired canned fruit+ grapes soft and mushy. Here in July 2025.

Carley found families praised the dedicated, professional care team and excellent rehabilitation outcomes, though initial admission experiences and response times were occasionally inconsistent.
