My mom broke her arm and shoulder the Monday before Thanksgiving. Mom has been at the Plaza for 20 days and she's been receiving very good care and I'm loving the staff. HOWEVER, TODAY I'M SITTING AT A DOCTORS OFFICE WAITING FOR THE FACILITY TO BRING MY MOM TO HER APPOINTMENT. HER APPOINTMENT WAS AT 10:00 AM AND IT'S CURRENTLY 1:50PM AND SHE IS STILL NOT HERE. SHE'S ALMOST 4 HOURS LATE! I have called the facility 5x so far and been placed on hold for over 10 minutes. Each time I called they gave me one excuse or another of why she hadn't left yet. The doctors office said they would still see her when facility finally gets her here. Therefore, I've waited because I'm supposed to go out of town and the doctor is booked through Christmas and just after I have had to call and rearrange other appointments that I had for my dad. I'm also his caregiver, as well as my husband's and have health issues myself.
My grandma passed last weekend the staff told us not too worry about rushing too clean her room out and that they would leave it all in the room. I went today too clean it out the room was cleaned out her clothes were just tossed in the back storage room along with most of her stuff thrown away, she told me that her safe had jewelry she had always worn jewelry, she said too ask the maintenance man for the code I was told he didn’t know the code and the safe was already open, the only things left in the safe were a pair of glasses that were originally on the table I find it outrageous I’m even typing this out right now let alone that it happened to my family.
My Dad is a Resident at this Place. It's Nice and Clean. And my Dad seems to enjoy the Staff here. Every Time I Visit Him the Staff seems to give Him good Medical Care and Assistance. For the most part I'm glad and have peace of mind that my Dad is being taken good care of at this Facility..
Quality Score
Carley found serious staffing shortages and inconsistent care quality that families experienced, though rehabilitation services and some positive staff interactions were noted in accounts.
