I searched for a good home for my mom in a few places. A friend told me her grandparents and aunts stayed there and they were well cared for. I met with Angie and she is quite adamant about medicaid and their rules. I followed her lead and mama stayed there 1.5 years. I would do pop up visits to bring mama stuff, and the staff would put her name on stuff and I just fell in love with them. They were like her daughters too. I always saw the place clean and full of love. The personal kinda love. They made mama laugh and smile on a daily basis. I felt like mama was special, but I saw them caring for others and all the residents were special. The staff take them out every 2 hours for smoke breaks and I'd sit out there with them and we would cut up and laugh. The people weren't there waiting to die, they were waiting to live and they do, it was really something to see. They do arts and crafts and celebrate the residents just like family. I can't say enough about them. My mama was hard headed and she ran her own life, and she would make them laugh with her fiery nature. They would call me about anything pertaining to my mama and were so sweet, kind and caring. This place is full of love. Mama passed away with me and them with kindness and love and she went peaceful. I will never be able to thank them enough for relieving so much burden from me, making me comfortable and confident that she was in good hands. Angie knows medicaid like the back of her hand, her response to everything was "we don't mess with medicaid". And she made it possible because I was so new. She will go to bat for anyone of her patients and make sure they get the best care possible. I truly love her and all the staff so much. I could say thank you a million times, it wouldn't be enough. When mama was passing they were sad as well and so gentle and I know her, and every patient that has been there mean something to the nursing staff. I fully encourage anyone to give this place a try. As heartbroken as I am for my mama, she had everything she needed that last 1.5 years. And those nursing staff were also her baby girls. They are my sisters. Thank you Woodland Park from the bottom of my heart. You will never know the impact you had on my life and my faith in humanity has been restored. I love you all! P.S. I definitely don't believe any bad reviews on here. It's not possible. I saw to much. This facility protects their residents and I'm only guessing some people don't like to be challenged if it were thought they weren't doing right by their loved ones. I never had a issue. The residents come first and foremost. I only see happy smiling residents as I met many and would talk to them as well. Angie has dedicated her life to this place and she is an absolute God send. We had our last Thanksgiving with my mama thanks to them, and a piece of my heart is in that facility. I'm sorry I'm so long winded, but I had to share my own story.
Could not give a half star. Nursing home will stop all family members from visiting loved one's because we wanted to move him closer to us. Angie talked to my grandfather told him to stay at woodland your family does not love you and etc. Then he died and they did not contact any family member whatsoever. They do not care about your loved ones they just want to keep the rooms full and make money. We reported them to the state.
Absolutely the most friendliest people, who cares for their clients. They show so much caring and kindness to the patients there. From Anglea in the Office to every nurse, and other personnel there. It’s a clean, bright loving atmosphere. I wish my mom was still there.
Quality Score
Carley found exceptional care quality and a clean, welcoming atmosphere that families deeply appreciated, though communication during transitions and some care consistency concerns were noted by a few families.
