BEWARE! If you love your family member, please do NOT put them in this facility! If I could rate them a negative 100, that would not be negative enough! The administration was NOT truthful! When my dad was transferred to this facility, I spoke to the Director and the Director of Nursing in person, and requested that they contract with Community Hospice in Fort Worth, which was beyond excellent in their service to my brother, as well as to our family, in his passing. They refused to do so at that time, but repeatedly assured me that they would inform me at the first sign that my dad may need hospice services, that they would contract with them at that time, and that it would only take a few minutes. I went to see him often, but COVID occurred while Dad was there, so we could only visit with him, over the phone, through the window...how tragic! Dad would call me every day. When he could not get any help there, I would call them to try to get some help for him. At one point, I repeatedly called, to check on him, since I hadn't heard from him, but they kept telling me that he was asleep, and when I was finally able to talk to him on the phone, he was unable to carry on a conversation. I assumed that they had just over medicated him, since they kept telling me that he was asleep, but a nurse called me to inform me that he was unable to do anything by himself, which was definitely not the case the last time that I had seen him, about a month before, as I lived a good ways from there, and it was so frustrating to visit through the window. I headed down to see him, and could not believe what I saw when I got there! They had parked him in the lobby, in his wheelchair, all alone, in filthy clothes. His chest was lying on his knees, & his arms were hanging down to the floor, and he was totally unresponsive! He was finally able to barely squeeze my hand, ever so lightly. I then realized that he was actually dying! I couldn't get him out of there fast enough!! I started searching, desperately, for a place for him to die in my area. When the DON realized that I was actively looking for a place to move him to, she asked me if I wanted to sign him up for the hospice company that they were contracted with, never mentioning Community Hospice, which I had requested them to contract with upon his arrival there. I refused, since I was moving him. The North Pointe DON finally Face timed me, right before the ambulance was to transport him, to feign concern, and told me that she didn't know whether he could make the trip. Mind you, this was her FIRST call, re his dying process, and they had not ever even told me - only a nurse had called me! During the Face time call, shortly before the ambulance picked him up, my Dad had his hair. When my dad was transported to the new facility, and I got to see him, I was totally aghast! North Pointe had shaved his head, so he didn't even look like my Dad! I had NEVER, in my lifetime, seen my Dad with a shaved head! This was something that could not be repaired for his memorial service! I called the DON, to ask why his head had been shaved, and she told me, flippantly, that I would have to ask his bath man, and gave me no way to communicate with him. He died two days after arriving at the new facility, serviced by a local hospice company. This was the most heart-wrenching experience that I have EVER been through! PLEASE don't put your loved one through this kind of abuse!
My grandma had been at North Pointe for about 6 months before she transitioned to her final resting place. I have to admit it was by far one of the best nursing home we had her at. They took very good care of her the food was very good there. The building stayed clean at all times. The staff was very nice and friendly. I could really go on and on. If you are considering placing your love one in a long term facility I would highly recommend North Pointe.. As I know making that decision is not a easy one but N.P. makes it all the easier. Thanks N.P. staff for going above and beyond.

Carley found severe staffing shortages and recurring medication errors creating serious safety concerns, though some families noted the facility environment and amenities were pleasant.
