The current Administration and staff at The Atrium are amazing! The building is clean and smells good when you walk in. The Administrator Illa, and all administrative staff, including the MDS nurses, all operate with a spirit of excellence and really focus on providing safe, quality care to all residents. The nursing staff always know what is going on with their residents and are excellent communicators, especially Karmen, Darlene and Megan!
Placed my mother there for rehab in Dec 2024. Staffed seemed nice and caring facility was clean and presentable. As mother need long term care services because she had become bedridden and we were unable to tend to her due to working we thought we would return her back there since it was close to our homes and we could check on her daily. During this time we had to get approach staff for not leaving her meal trays, they are very hesitant on making sure patients are cleaned and changed, in which we had to do on numerous occasions despite the fact we were paying $5300 a Month for them to do so. We had to demand they leave her a tray at breakfast lunch and dinner even if she declined because she suffers with diabetes and dementia. She is experienced being barricaded in a room by another patient, which was not their fault but also not wise to have a mentally unstable person in the room with a person who can not walk. I have witnessed CNAs tease and harass other elderly patients. I have gotten one up of the floor as she layed there screaming for help and staff was just outside the door. The call light is just a light because 80 percent of the time no one responds. There were some caring CNAs others rude or stood outside her door laughing and teasing her. She passed away at the facility in Aug and I am still waiting on a refund for her private pay. If you have loved ones you really care about just triple check the facility and go there as much as you can to make sure they are ok because, I’m going to assume, being under paid and under staffed they just don’t care!!!
The Atrium is very nice & the staff are happy which says a lot about the leadership. Mom's been there since mid June. The EVS folks keep this place clean & smelling good. Mom receives great care, she likes the food, & she's made a whole group of friends. The facilty really cares about their patients. They keep the patients active with games & other functional activities. I definitely recommend this facility.
Quality Score
Carley found families consistently praised the exceptionally clean, welcoming environment and attentive staff, though rehabilitation program consistency drew some mixed feedback.
