The Heritage of Meyerland offers a warm, homey environment that immediately feels comforting upon entry. The overall atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff demonstrates a willingness to receive constructive feedback, which speaks volumes about their commitment to continuous improvement. Maintenance staff, particularly Ishmael, do an excellent job keeping the facility clean and well-maintained. The attention to detail in the upkeep truly stands out. Special recognition goes to Necko, one of the nurses, who is consistently prompt, responsive, and confident in decision-making—a quality that provides peace of mind to both residents and families. Katie, the Director of Engagement, also deserves high praise. She does an outstanding job keeping residents with dementia engaged and entertained, demonstrating both creativity and compassion in her approach. There are some areas for improvement, particularly in the food service. The meals tend to be repetitive and limited in variety, which can impact the overall experience for residents. Expanding the menu options or seeking resident input could significantly enhance satisfaction. Overall, if the team continues to listen, evolve, and implement feedback—especially in areas like dining—they have a great foundation to build an even stronger, more enriching community for residents.

My mom has been here for 3 years and we are so blessed to be a part of the Heritage family!! The staff are so loving and caring to residents and families. My mother has lived at Addington Place for about 7 months and has been doing well. The staff are very friendly, diligent, and keep me updated on any changes. I really appreciate how cautious the facility has been regarding these hard COVID times and keeping the residents safe. The staff all seems very kind and patient, and I feel very comfortable that she is receiving quality care. I appreciate the efforts the staff make to keep the residents engaged in activities and the photo updates I receive. I highly recommend Addington Place of Meyerland for memory care of your loved one.
