READ ALL REVIEWS ON YELP!!!. The staff is very nice when you can find an aide or nurse. They are definitely short staffed. However, I have found my ex-husband in dirty (soiled and wet) clothes or just a diaper and shirt on laying on wet sheets. Sometimes he is in a hospital gown even though I have bought him clothes and labeled everything. When his bed is wet there is no one around to change the sheets for long periods of time. I also have killed two roaches which I informed the front desk. The meals are small, many times served on styrofoam to go containers and he is losing weight. Since he was. moved there late March he has been going downhill. In February in his former nursing home he was walking, had physical therapy, occupational therapy, showers and participated in all family events with only me accompanying him. No family members . Now he is bedridden or in a wheelchair. . I personally am exceptionally not happy with this nursing home and DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. IT ONLY HAS A 3.4 RATING AS A NURSING HOME. THAT IS FAR BELIW STANDARDS. UNFORTUNATELY AT HIS FORNER NURSING HOME HE WAS HARDLY VISITED BY HIS FAMILY. I WAS THERE NUMEROUS TIMES A WEEK, often had dinner in the dining room with him A WE ATTEBDED EVERY EVENT TIGETHER, (NO other family showed up due to inconvenience) .His HIS NURSE WAS SKWSYS IN FRONT OF HIS DOOR. THR ENTIRE STAFF KNEW ME SND WERE VERY FRIENDLY,CARING AND WELL STAFFED. .

My father, who had Alzheimer’s, lived in The Plaza for almost a full year, until he passed away (at 90 years and ten months old) in June/2025. The staff were so very kind and caring toward him. The physical therapists were great at keeping him active. The nurses and CNA’s were helpful anytime they were called upon, tending to everything from baths, getting him dressed, cleaning his room, changing bedding, etc. The admissions staff were also very courteous and helpful in getting him settled in. We were thankful that, after his first week at The Plaza, during which he lived in a room in their Memory Ward, it was determined that he would be able to move out of the Memory Care wing and into a room on their main floor. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that, in the beginning, we had some concerns about the laundry and bathing schedule. But, it seems that was because of a staff turnover. After the first six weeks or so, all the issues had been addressed. The staff made sure he had a wonderful, compatible roommate, was well fed and cared for, and received attentive medical care. We appreciated very much how quickly the nurses would alert us of any medicine changes, or any behavioral or health concerns they had for my dad. He was very well loved and cared for at The Plaza.

I was searching for the perfect facility for my loved one and decided to visit The Plaza at Richardson. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Lia and Katrece, who work seamlessly together as a team. Their professionalism, friendliness, and genuine care immediately stood out. They truly made me feel welcome and confident that my loved one would be in good hands. It’s rare to find such dedicated individuals who go above and beyond to create a comforting and supportive environment. I highly recommend The Plaza at Richardson to anyone looking for a compassionate and well-run facility.
