Just like Heritage, its one of the worst place to place your love one. They are understaffed to keep overhead costs low to increase profits. The doctors they use have a monopoly on the area nursing homes and offer as little care as possible. The rooms and furniture in some areas of the nursing home are damaged. Those who are not mobile get the worst care because the women cannot lift them, so they lay in the bed for extended periods of time. The state gives notice allowing the nursing home cover up their poor care practices. The inspectors may be on the take. The owners own several nursing homes in the area. Good Luck!
Man, I can't believe how much better this place got after the new owner took over. 4 1/2☆s, now. I was actually in the process of finding my Gramps a different home about 8 months ago, but now he's really being handled well. Big Smile on his face, that use to seem depressed. I thought the old guy had some kinda crush on some new nurse, or somethin' but it turns out that he's told me, he was happy, after the "New peoples that done took over" started doing stuff.
Our journey began in January 2021, and I had to quickly find a placement for my mother. I was on direct contact quarantine, and Bridgette made the entire process smooth with easy transition from hospital to the facility. She even made several trips to the hospital to answer questions with mom and to ensure she felt comfortable as well. The facility went above and beyond to ensure safety of the residents and following guidelines for essential caregiver visits. I was able to have direct contact with my mom, and received warm welcome. The nursing staff was always sweet, phone calls to my mom at nursing station were always welcome, and I received weekly updates on mom’s condition and the Covid status of the facility. Nearly six months later, I have witnessed all staff having positive interactions and fun with the residents. I receive prompt answers anytime I have a question. The facility is clean, and my mother is content and happy. I receive testimonies of personal interactions with mom from all range of staff! Tamara in financial office is very sweet and extremely helpful to ensure needed resources. For the first time in several years, I am without worry about mom’s care.
