TREEMONT HEALTH CARE CENTER

My father moved from Austin to Treemont Health Care Center a little over a year ago in order to be closer to family after living alone and experiencing health issues. My sisters and I knew it would be a huge transition for him; however, he chose to embrace the Treemont Lifestyle. The staff has taken the time to get to know him, and he knows the staff by name. The variety of activities is a plus, and he looks forward to participating regularly. Who knew he would love to color? The attentiveness and quality of care from the administration, direct care/nursing staff and the therapy has made a positive impact on his demeanor and overall happiness. We are truly grateful for the Treemont family.

A little over a year ago, my sister's and knew the time was right to move my dad ( Gordon) into a place where he would have companionship and care at the same time. He has come quite involved with the staff that he interacts with and loves showing off photos on my grandchildren to any one who will listen. He is very appreciative of the attentiveness and for being involved in a variety of activities, often trying to get others to join him in the fun. He continues with his therapy and knows he needs to continue what they encourage him to do. Our family is very pleased with "his home" and I am forever grateful to everyone he crosses in his daily life and through the adjustments.

If you love your family or friend do not and I mean do not put them in this place! It's old, it reeks, it's upkept, there's a million cats everywhere!!!!! There's low hanging trees everywhere, the nurses are slow to give medication to patients, therefore causing the patients to NOT receive their medication on time. Let me put it this way, not one person working there would put their family member in this place! That should tell you something! I'm still wondering why they're still open?!?!?!
