Toured this place with my Nana. She didn’t move in, she needed a skilled care place. But Watercrest was really nice. The sales ladies were so nice and very considerate with Nana. Definitely would refer others to this place.
I have visited multiple communities in that area, and Watercrest was by far the most impressive. The residents, the atmosphere, the staff, everything was amazing, start to finish. I think the biggest difference between Watercrest and other places I have looked at was the people. The folks that I met with were all so warm and full of life. It really made Watercrest feel special!
I know that no senior living facility is going to offer and uphold to the 5 star care that I wish it would, but Watercrest does not even come close. They have a flawed system and do not show any efforts to get it fixed. They have a button system (like life alert) but it hardly ever works, most the time no caretaker shows up, and if they do show up more often than not it takes 40+ minutes to show up. They will put caretakes on a shift by themselves and not even give them a login to the button system. So if any resident pushes their button while that caretaker is on shift no one will ever know. Plus the staff can not even get on the same page as to what the button should be for, the caretakers say it should be used as a call button for everything, the higher ups say it should be used for emergencies only. I met with person after person to express our concerns and nothing was ever done to solve the problems with staff not answering the buttons. Only empty promises that "they were working on it". Please, please, please do not leave your loved ones at Watercrest, especially if they are to the point they will not be able to communicate to you the lack of care that is happening at this place. We gave them chance after chance to make it right, they say they care, but actions speak louder than words. we are moving my grandparents in February and are hopeful for better luck at a better facility.
Quality Score
Carley found families praised the friendly atmosphere and engaging activities, though serious concerns about care decline and rehabilitation support emerged as the facility struggled to maintain quality as residents' needs increased.
