I would like to give more stars for the nurses, aides, and awesome caseworker only, but I can't due to the medical director of this facility. My mom was overly medicated during her stay here. The meds weren't forced on her, but I believe the medical director could have done a better job with the issuance of meds after assessing my mom's condition. Thanks to her follow up appointment with her PCP who confirmed it. Her side effects from the excess medication caused water retention in her legs, arthritis issues, a couple of falls, and abnormal behavior; which she's still recovering from and hopefully it's not permanent. I appreciate the nurses and aides that took care of my mom during her stay here, as well as the caseworker who helped with other things; bravo to y'all; but I don't appreciate the medical director for overly medicating my mom. She should have been released from the excess meds once she finished her course of antibiotics or a few days after because they weren't needed...him being a physician should know better!! This further lets me know that he doesn't care about the residents at this facility. I feel like she could have received better care elsewhere.

From the moment I met the new administrator, Jim Kale i could feel that he cared about the residents and loved what he does! The D.O.N. Ashley always has a smile and she helped me so much with my Mother and all that Mom was feeling with the transition. When Momma was in the hospital Ashley called to see how Momma was doing..which was something noone had ever done in the past. All the staff there were wonderful, always smiling and speaking. At times when they were shorthanded, all the D.O.N.'s pitched in working long hours never leaving the floor short!! When I lost my Mother they were supportive and loving. Mr. Jim has done amazing things in the few months he's been there and I am so sure theres more to come!

My Dad has been a resident at Whispering Pines since August 31,2023. He has dementia. The care he has received has been superior. He is treated like family. My Dad is unable to feed, dress himself or walk. He loves the care and attention he receives by the staff. I am pleased with the clean facilities and care of my Dad. I love the activity I see. Everybody is doing their jobs all the time. Residents are smiling as well as the staff. Any concerns are handled quickly and professionally. I have them on my favorites list in my phone. I am updated weekly as I visit my Dad. The environment is not a generic facility , but it feels like home.
