Best place ever, listens to family and patient concerns. I will forever be thankful to them.

I shouldn't even be giving one star on this facility! We removed our mother from a nursing home a little over two months ago due to major neglect and abuse. She has Dementia and COPD and has had three strokes. She has paralysis on her right side. Upon recommendation Whitney Facility was offered through Hospice for a respite weekend. Mother was picked up and met at the facility by Hospice on Friday at 11 with her medication in hand. When she was brought home on Sunday after 1. When she arrived she has diarrhea literally all in her pants and down her legs. They basically put her in a room all by herself with no attendant or care nurse. She wasn't given her medication the whole time she was there! They allowed her to smoke cigarettes which she has COPD and lives on oxygen She doesn't smoke cigarettes! She continued to push a call button where she finally realized no one was coming. She wore the same clothes and socks all weekend! We as a family are very upset to the neglected care of our mother ! I'll be posting on our city web Hill County Rant and Rave to warn families if their family members are in this facility there needs to be a hard check done!!! To neglect our seniors is completely out of line !! As a family that truly needed a break. You failed us and our family.
