My experience with Wincrest Nursing and Rehab in Windcrest, Texas, was extremely disappointing. During my client’s stay, she was left in bed and not given a shower for five days. She didn’t have access to her own clothes and had to remain in a hospital gown and brace. I called ahead to let them know I would be picking her up at 4:00 pm, yet when I arrived, she was still in bed wearing the gown. It then took them over an hour to get her up, dressed, and to the restroom so I could bring her home. Throughout this, the CNA seemed unaware of the situation, or it appeared there simply wasn’t enough staff to provide proper care. Most troubling, my client requested showers and was denied. Overall, the lack of communication, dignity, and basic care was unacceptable. Families entrust facilities like this with their loved ones, and this experience fell far short of what anyone should expect.

The staff went above & beyond to take make sure my mother was comfortable & happy. Hands down above my expectations. Thank you so much for making her stay a pleasurable experience!

I wanted to say that I am soo happy that I choose this facility for my step mom. I really was upset to have to go this route but my mom has been there a month now. I can not stress how happy I am that she is now there. Not only is she showing signs of improvement, she herself tells me how nice everyone is with her. This really gives me peace of mind. The staff on that side have been amazing and Dolores (one of the head nurses) is amazing. She truly cares and she is always ready to tell how my mom's day was and gives me details of anything that she feels I need to know. They really care. The rest of the staff have kept my mom clean and bedsore free. Her room is nice and roomy. I am telling you, this facility is really one to take a look at. I want to thank all the staff there for changing my mind on the care I thought she would get, they have proven me wrong. I love it and so does my step mom. She is really thriving there and the activates are helping her too. Thanks to Everyone at Windcrest Nursing home for making her feel like family and giving her the attention she needs. God bless you All
