Can barely get anyone to help . Very slow response time if any. I had to find help myself. Very poor food quality and always cold. My husband slipped off bed and I had to call main switchboard to get anyone to help. Physical therapy got him out of bed early with no food or water before therapy. Left in 2 weeks rather than staying. Cannot recommend.

As new residents of the Buckingham’s independent living Classic apartments, my husband and I were extremely impressed that the Buckingham’s excellent service continued during hurricane Beryl and it’s aftermath. The on-site generator provided power to elevators, halls, and public rooms immediately when the power went off. Extra generators were brought in and power and air conditioning was restored on the third day to all apartments. The amazing dedicated staff went above and beyond by staying on-site around the clock to provide services and three hot meals per day in the dining rooms for all residents. Looking back, the experience shows how the Buckingham’s “extended family” all worked together to turn a difficult situation into one that was manageable for everyone.

The registered nurses are good, but the nursing aids are terrible. They are mean and manhandle the patients. They are either asleep or on the phones when they are supposed to be watching the residents. When they are tending to the patients in their room, they are rough with them. They all have an accent so no one can understand what the aids say. The aids get mad when a patient does not follow their command, but the patient cannot understand what they are asked to do because they can't understand what is being asked!
